With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laverne L. Newcomb of Portage, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on January 18, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Harvey and Louella; her husband Carlton Newcomb; her siblings, Harvey Lahaie and Juanita Roman; and her children-in-law, Judith Newcomb and Mark Castilleja.
She is survived by : her children, Robert Newcomb (Judith), Mary Lou Castilleja, William Newcomb and Victoria Leto (Joey); and her sister Carol Ann Ogan. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 56 great and great-great grandchildren.
