She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hicks and Selma Hicks; and her husband Duane R. Sternberg. She is survived by: her sons, Andy Sternberg and David Sternberg (April); her grandchildren, Megan, Bradley (Jessica), Matthieu, Brandon and Brooke (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Charlie, Caleb, Maleah and Evelyne; and her siblings, Stanley Hicks (Ammee), Michael Hicks (Chrissy), Charles Hicks (Darlene), Robert Hicks (Lori), Charlotte Alicea, Monica Hicks and Natalie Kent. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave, Portage, IN 46368). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
