It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melanie Ann Miller-Walker of Portage, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on April 18, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her brother-in-law Brad Pressley. She is survived by : her father Samuel W. Miller; her husband Michael Walker; her stepdaughter Kelly Dickerson; her stepgrandson Noah Dickerson; her mother Susan M. Miller; her siblings, Mike Miller (Kathy), Mark Miller (Connie), Megan Orosz (Lee), Mary Lovall (Brian), Marci Cooper (Dave) and Micki Pressley; and her nieces and nephews, Andy Miller (Laura), Zac Miller, Jessie Staley (Andrew), Joe Orosz, Joshua Orosz, Lindsay Orosz, Brittney Wright (Logan), Samantha Miller, Sean Lovall, Jonathon Lovall, Justine Alonzo (Sebastian), Brock Cooper, Paige Cooper, Anna Pressley, Nate Pressley and Jackson Pressley.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Hobart Humane Society 2054 IN-130, Hobart, IN 46342 in memory of Melanie would be appreciated.
