It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mike Zakutansky of Portage, Indiana, born in Merrillville, Indiana, who passed away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zakutansky and Nancy Zakutansky; and his brother Alex (John Fetkavich). He is survived by: his wife Carol Zakutansky; his daughter Nancy Wheeler; his grandchildren, Blake, Jordan Wheeler, Fayth and Nevaeh Shroeder; and his brother Joseph Zakutansky (Diana). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Mike's name to St. Nicholas Apostlolate.
