Myra E. Dixon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Myra E. Dixon of Portage, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 23, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence "Stump" Williams and Kathryn Williams (Dillon); her husband James Arthur Dixon Sr.; her son James Dixon Jr.; her grandson Kevin Dixon; her son-in-law Jeff Gorby; and her siblings, Jane Ray, Tom Williams, June Burkett, Freda Slemmer, James, Emery and John Daughenbaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Dixon (Glenda) of Indiana, Tammy Gorby of Indiana and Jane Beaudry (Ron Springman) of Indiana; her grandsons, Anthony (Breanna), Bryan Dixon (Kayla), Dillon (Maddie) and Derek Beaudry (Rebekah); and her great grandchildren, Maverick, Maddox, Owen, Landon, Ella and Daphne.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. (115 W 10th St, Tyrone, PA 16686). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
