He was predeceased by: his father Peter Shear; and his sister Susan Schneider. He is survived by: his mother Leona Shear (Urbanek); his wife Vicki; his siblings, Peter Shear (Sue) of Mishawaka, Marsha Zajicek (Steve) of Valparaiso and Donna Croddy of Cape Coral, FL; and his brother-in-law Scott Eaton (Pat) of Valparaiso. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
