We announce the death of Violet M. Jackura (Portage, Indiana), born in Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wolendowski and Stella Wolendowski; her husband Mike Jackura; her son David (Coreen); her brother Raymond; her sisters-in-law, Lena (Raymond) and Joyce (Larry); her children-in-law, Jon (Carolyn) and Rhonda (Michael); and her great grandchild Jon.
She is survived by: her children, Michael, Carolyn Allen and Deborah Hall (James); and her brother Lawrence Wolendowski. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Violet's memory to Nativity of Our Savior, where her spirit will continue to be a guiding light for the community she so dearly loved.
