Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Berna Dean Derrickson of Portland, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 85, on September 26, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen McBride and Grace McBride; and her husband Willard Derrickson. She is survived by: her children, Sheri Stigall (Kelvin), Les Derrickson (Sandi Rodgers) of Portland, Jim Derrickson (April) of Portland and Willi Derrickson of Summerville; her stepdaughter Mary Woods of Marion, Indiana.; and her siblings, Jo Weilande, Marvin and Charles McBride. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home (221 N S Meridian St, Portland, IN 47371). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
