It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David A. Scotten of Portland, Indiana, who passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Scotten and Irma Scotten (Gulley); and his wife Joy Moody. He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie Scotten of Flushing and Teresa Rummel of Pleasant Hill; his close friend Dru Noble of Portland; and his stepchildren, Mary Ann Sheller of Valapairso and John Sheller of Sarasota.
