He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hug; his children, Kathryn Kimbrell, Gregory Hug (Lori), Jeffrey Hug (Anne), Irena Williamson (Rick), Virginia, Mitchell Hug (Wyndsor) and Isaac Hosier; and his brother Neal Hug (Kathy). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed towards Masses at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Jude Children's Hospital, the donor's choice or by honoring Dick's memory through acts of kindness and mercy.
