She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Max Butcher and Martha Butcher (Noble); her husband Roger Downs; her children, Aaron Walter (Stephanie) of Dunkirk, Angie Stuckey (Bert West) of Hartford City and Carrie Schmit (Joe) of Portland; her siblings, Mark Butcher (Jiao) of Pennville, Michael Butcher (Debbie) of Bryant, Five, Judy Simon (Tim) of Lansing, MI., Diane Bost (John) of Portland, Patty Meinerding (Jerry) of Bryant, Amy Crabtree (Barry) of Bryant and Lori Theurer (Reuben) of Portland, Nine; and her grandson Austin Coats.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home (221 N S Meridian St, Portland, IN 47371). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society.
