She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank F. Purcell and Viola C. Purcell (Dilbeck); her husband Robert E. McDowell; her sons, Darrel McDowell and Dennis McDowell; and her siblings, Jewell Schafer (Kenneth), Jess Purcell (Margaret) and James Purcell (Gerri).

She is survived by: her son Don McDowell (Deb); her grandchildren, Nick McDowell (Misty), Dawn Wendleton, Courtney Mason, Lisa Germann (Sean), Shawn McDowell and Michael McDowell; and her great grandchildren, Morgan McDowell, Nate McDowell, Eric Mason, Jonah Wendleton, Justin Wendleton, Emilee Alisun Wendleton, Liam Germann, Avelyn Germann, Hailey McDowell and Alexa McDowell. She is also survived by 6 great-great-grandchildren.
