She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Hardiman and Helen Hardiman; her husband Clifton Carter; her brothers, Arvil, Marvin Sr. and Charles Hardiman; her sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Sylvia Hardiman; and her nieces and nephews, Pamela Sue Hardiman, Sherry Chavis, Lawrence, Tony and James "Strawberry" Hardiman.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Deborah Mellor (David) of Princeton, Valerie Young (Tim) of Princeton, Kenna Berry (Fred) of Princeton, Lisa Greer of Princeton, Craig of Princeton, David Hardiman of Princeton and Marvin Don Hardiman Jr. (Debbie) of Indianapolis. She is also survived by her family, friends.
