He is survived by: his wife Faye Dorris (McGowan); his children, James, Cindy Dorris, Tony Dorris, Melissa and Ben Strickland; his daughter-in-law Kelly Hester; his grandchildren, Patience, Tom Pridgen, Elizabeth Hoffhaus, Jordan Dorris, Patty Brown, Jaci Dorris, Shelby (Delvin), Travis Sotak (Samara), Josh Duff, Lacey Comeaux, Dexter, Alex Wise, Michael Dorris, Ashley Dorris, Allen, Brittney Dorris, Jamie Dorris, Kendra and Taylor Pritchett; his great grandchildren, Roman Dorris, Nirvana Wise, Zeplynn Wise, Dexter Wise, Jr., Michael Dorris (M. J.), Chloe Dorris, Karson Marion, Alexis Gardner, Draco Dorris, Brayden Meeks, Naomi Brackney, Athena Brachney and Shawn Osborn; his sister Susan Owen; and his pet Princess.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Colvin Funeral Home (425 N Main St, Princeton, IN 47670). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Columbia White Church Cemetery West County (991 S 250 W, Princeton, IN 47670).
