She was predeceased by : her parents, William Young and Magnolia Young; her husband Ivan Simmons, Sr.; and her children, Stephen Edward Simmons and Claudine Ann Simmons.

She is survived by : her siblings, Anna Mae Alvis, Eliza Smith, Dorothy Young, Moses Young of Raymond Young, L. C, Paul Young and James Young; her grandson Jason Simmons; and her children, Bertis Paul, William Wayne, Sr. (Felicia), Ivan Heber, Jr. (Midori), John Squire, Carl Ray (Kim), Ricky Alan (Bronda), Iva Harvey (Joseph), Alfreda Harrison (Jimmy), Joyce Sullivan (Kenneth, Sr.), Fayola Green and Maria Simmons. She is also survived by 46 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Due to state mandated COVID-19 regulations, there is a maximum of 25 people allowed inside the funeral home and at the graveside.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Greater Holy Temple Family Worship Center or Cape Head Start Gibson County, 402 N. Ford St., Princeton, IN 47670.
