She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Hawthorne and Betty Hawthorne (Parker); her brother Josh Hawthorne; her niece Shana Hawthorne; her sister-in-law Sheila Morris-Lashbrook; and her friend Portia Priestly.
She is survived by: her siblings, Toi Haley (George), Willetta Gentry, Karita Hawthorne and Willie Hawthorne Jr. Mary; her significant other Rodney Morris; and her children, Dakota Fretz (Corbin) of Terre Haute, IN and RJ Morris (Alicia Morgan) of Mt. Carmel. She is also survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Life Church of the Nazarene (712 N Embree St, Princeton, IN 47670). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at the Sand Hill Cemetery (4754 W 64, Princeton, IN 47670).
