He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolph Davis and Pauline Davis (Swarens); and his wife Rita Davis. He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Burden (John) and Kate McIntire (Casey); and his brother George Davis (Sue). He is also survived by four grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Swarens Funeral Home (1405 IN-64, Ramsey, IN 47166). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

“Unfortunately l was in the ER w my wife Thursday and today is recuperation day. I met Charlie at Ekin Ave in '73. Always a pleasant smile and tolerance shown to a new shooter. Later l tried to catch him score wise but never quite succeeded. ;) Charlie occasionally had a "school story" to tell involving parents awa students. Some caused much head shaking. All in all, his calm steady influence, willingness to help, immensely benefitted SIRP Club. I know l will miss him.”
