He is survived by : his son Louis Ayres; his wife Virginia Ayres; his children, Ronald Ayres (Vivian), Donald Ayres (Tina), Jerry Ayres (Sue), Lisa Wittkop (Jay) and Elbert Ayres, Jr. (Sarah); and his brother Carl Ayres.
