He was predeceased by: his parents, Iva Louise Rardin Branson and Edgar Lee Branson; his siblings, Robert, Larry, Franklin Branson and Marjorie Branson Hastings; and his in-laws, Elmer "Mike" and Mabel Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Branson; his children, Terri Landel (John), Todd Branson (Amy) and Troy Branson (Allison); his grandchildren, Kaleigh Branson, Sydney McRae (Kyle), Reilly Branson and Joel Branson; and his brothers, Samuel "Tommy" Branson and Floyd Branson (Pat). He is also survived by several brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lawson-Miller Chapel (1702 E National Ave, Brazil, IN 47834). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
