He is survived by: his mother Mary Jeane Gray (Murphy); his wife Vickie Lee Messersmith (Clark); his children, Sunshine Messersmith (Katherine) of Morocco, Indiana, Sean Messersmith (Cora) of Red River and Sarena Messersmith (Ashlee) of West Lafayette, Indiana; his grandchildren, Bailee LaCosse, Hunter LaCosse, Hayden LaCosse, Katlynne Messersmith, Kristian Messersmith, Betsy Messersmith and Noelle Messersmith; and his siblings, Jeff Messersmith, Joe Messersmith, Cathy Messersmith and Ed Gray.
