He is survived by: his mother-in-law Rebecca Chastain; his wife Rebecca; his sons, Greg Chastain (Jean), Richard Chastain (Michelle) and Randall Chastain (Beth); his grandchildren, Josh (Katrina), Jon, Justin, Gabriela, Dylan Chastain, Cameron and Jake Terry; his great grandchildren, Olivia Byars, Anastasia Chastain and Mason Durlin; his brother Larry Chastain; and his nephews, Kevin and James Chastain.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington Saturday (9 W North St, Remington, IN 47977). A procession will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Crockett Cemetery (1793 County Rd 725 S, Rensselaer, IN 47978). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington (9 W North St, Remington, IN 47977).
