We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2025, at the age of 78, Thomas W. Goad of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Thomas may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roby Goad and Margaret Goad (Shide); and his son Jeffrey Goad. He is survived by: his daughter Kasey Butler (Derek) of DeMotte, IN; his grandsons, Henry Butler and Theodore "Teddy" Butler; and his siblings, John Goad of Lake Village, IN, Mary Brown (Walt) of Rensselaer and Mike.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer (250 N McKinley Ave, Rensselaer, IN 47978). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
