He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia; and his son Richard. He is survived by: his brother Ollie Pickral; his children, James Pickral Jr. (Amy) and Susan Shields (Steve); his grandchildren, Stephen Short, John, Ashley Shields, Maegan, Tabitha and Adeline Pickral; and his great grandchildren, Sutherlyn, Isabell and Levi Short.
