He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sams and Nannie Sams; his wife Frances Ann Sams; and his grandson Skylar Sams. He is survived by: his sons, James Sams (Debra) of Centerville, Vincent Sams (Vanessa) of Webster and Ricky Sams (Shelley) of Centerville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Anthony Sams (Karen) of Sellersburg, Kyle Sams (Lacey) of Webster, Amber Pence of Centerville, Justin Sams of Richmond and Rachel Mills (Justin) of Centerville; his great grandchildren, Judah, Noah, Liam, Alexis, Grayson, Rylin, Eli, Avrey, Emitt and Easton; and his sister-in-law Sharon Rittenhouse of Florida. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and many friends.
