He is survived by: his mother Delores Ponder McNew; his son Jeremy McNew (Bridget) of Fountain City; his grandchildren, Emberly and River; and his siblings, Gene Edward McNew Jr. (Kelly) of Connersville and Melissa Gross (Jim) of Hollandsburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
