He was predeceased by: his parents, William (Ida Melton McDaniel) and Carl; his wife Aileen Burke McDaniel; his former wife June Musselman McDaniel; his daughters, Ruby Deaton and Wanda DeHaven; his great grandchild Reghan James; his siblings, Helen Harris, Edna Steele, Rosie McDaniel and Dave McDaniel; and his son-in-law Tony Goeke.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanie Shafer (Henry), Jackie Goeke and Willie McDaniel (Shanta); his stepdaughter Barbara Bradford (Keith); his grandchildren, Suzanne Stanley, Lori James, Jama Cahill, Keyla Bowen, Tony Goeke, Elliott Goeke, Kyle DeHaven, Scott DeHaven and Abigail Sarich; his sons-in-law, Larry Deaton and Mike DeHaven; and his close friends, Judy Hartman, Jim Fessler and Mort. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
