He was predeceased by: his father William Duarte; his daughter Cheyene Helms; and his close friend Barbara Stevens. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Duarte; his children, Zachary Duarte (Sierra), Chance Duarte, Dylan Spencer and Brittany Holland (Trey); his grandchildren, Gracie, Zeke, Kyler, Jax and Troy; and his close friend Sharin Simpson.
