He was predeceased by: his parents, Lon Hunter and Ruth Dickenson Hunter; and his siblings, James, Tom, Merle, Connie and Judy.

He is survived by: his brother Jeff Hunter (Cheryl) of Richmond; and his nephews, Jon, Justin, Tommy, Josh and Jason. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces.
