She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Chaney and Blanche Chaney (Cottman); her husband John Byrd; her daughters, Debra Jean Byrd and Leslie L. Byrd; her siblings, Joan Ayers and Issac Chaney; and her nephew Ernest Bethel.
She is survived by: her son John E. Byrd; her nieces and nephews, Dimita Willis, Dorothy Hurd, Pam Finch, Terry Kirksey, Patricia Little, Todd Ayers, James Bethel, Kevin Chaney, Kemper Chaney, Richard Thrasher and William Thrasher; her sisters, Rose Thrasher, Debra Robinson and Claudine Bethal; her cousin Marlene Ferqusan; and her close friends, Mary Daniels and Debbie Russell of Richmond, Indiana.. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
