He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Alvey and Phillis Wiseman Alvey; and his sister Carla Alvey. He is survived by: his wife April Alvey; his daughters, Heather Alvey (James Burden) of Richmond and Tandra Moffitt of Anderson; his grandchildren, Summer Alvey-Romero and Issac Reilly; his great grandchild Maeve Alvey-Romero; and his brothers, Dale Alvey (Eunice), Norman Alvey (Ada), Donnie Alvey (Joann) and Steve Alvey (Sandy).
