He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl (Elizabeth Woods Burkhardt Sr.) and Richmond; his wife Jeannine Wright Burkhardt; his daughter Melanie June Burkhardt; and his siblings, Edna, Pauline and Carl Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Eric Burkhardt (Lisa) and Bruce Alan Burkhardt; his grandchildren, Ethan Shane Burkhardt (Jamie), Andrew Cody Burkhardt (Hannah) and Carrie Elise Cruz (James); and his great grandchildren, Vivian, Owen, Oliver, Wright and Dean. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
