It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Ernst McLear Jr. of Richmond, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on February 5, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. and Harriett Rossetter McLear Sr.; his son Michael McLear; his former wife Maxine McLear; his wife Joyce McLear; and his siblings, Suzanne Armstrong, George "Bud" and Richard McLear.
He is survived by: his children, Sally Baumer (James) of Centerville, Kathy Gray (Chip) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Robert McLear III (Michelle) of Batavia, Illinois; his daughter-in-law Judy McLear of Evansville, Indiana; his stepson Jeff Cappa (Susan) of Richmond; and his sisters-in-law, Sharron McLear of Sugar Grove and Alice Kozlowski (Leon) of Munster, Indiana. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
