He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edgar (Olive Esther Seibel Bowers) and Butch; his siblings, Esther Williams (Wayne), Maynard Bowers (Betty Lou), Herman Bowers (Edna), Chester Bowers (Anna) and Gerald Bowers; and his stepmother Ann Hartman Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Fields Bowers; his daughter Brenda Jefferson (Rob); his grandchildren, Clay Broyles (Grace) and Ellie Jefferson; and his great grandchildren, Maizy and Emilia. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
