He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold O. Charlton and Lolita B. Bush Charlton; his sisters, Nancy Charlton, Caroline Oakes Littrel and Sue Ann Ridge; his grandsons, Shayne and Kyle; his brothers-in-law, Ralph Tharp, TJ Oakes, Jerry Ridge and David Caudle; and his father-in-law Earl Caudle.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Caudle Charlton; his children, Melissa Gallant (Ray), Phillip Charlton and Tina Cox; his grandchildren, Patrick, Victoria and Laura; his sister Patsy Tharp; his sister-in-law Brenda Caudle; his mother-in-law Katherine Caudle; and his caregivers, Elaine, Jill and Melissa. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; and many friends.
