It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Leroy Jones Sr. of Richmond, Indiana, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Leroy and Dessie Marie Jones (Jenkins); his sons, Thomas Leroy Jones, Jr. and Lawrence Wayne Jones; and his grandson James Andrew Jones.

He is survived by : his wife Martha Jones (Fuller); his children, Darryl Jones (Sharon) and Sarah Lawson (Bobby); his grandchildren, Bobby Jones, Blake Jones, Brooke Robertson (Zach), Brittany Van Hoecke (Elijah), Brian Jones (Sophia), Roz Morrison (Dylan), Cole Martin and Tara Spencer (Craig); and his sister Mary Jane Wiegand. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

At Tom's request, his family donated his body to science through Science Care of Chicago, IL.
