He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Austin Sr. and Mary Eva Austin-Dotson (Guffey); his children, John Taylor, Cody Austin, Ridgeville, IndianaBrandon Austin (Kaley), Portland, IndianaCory Austin (Lexie), Jessica Stevens and Carla Harnage (David Shane); his siblings, Wayne Dotson, Marsha LeMaster and Connie Huey (Richard); his grandchildren, Stanley, Zoey, Haley, Josie, Lane, Rhett and Coraline; his son Carl Edward Austin; and his nephew Dustin Dotson.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Antioch Cemetery (5001-5153 S Boundary Pike, Portland, IN 47371).
