With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Sommer (Rising Sun, Indiana), born in Milan, Indiana, who passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Sommer (Kaizer) and Alfred Sommer; his brother Paul Sommer; and his brother-in-law Bud Thurber. He is survived by: his wife Holly Sommer (Hussung) of Bear Branch, IN; his daughters, Stacie Ely (Eric) of Aberdeen, IN and Stephanie King (Ronnie) of Patriot, IN; his grandchildren, Taylor, Dakota and Cheyenne; and his sisters, Donna Branch (Charles Hill) of Dillsboro, IN and Phyllis Thurber of Ft. Wayne, IN..

Due to the current situation dealing with COVID-19, we will be following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings. Visitors are requested to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
