He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Smith (Peters) and William Elmer Hunter; and his sister Shelah Nickell. He is survived by: his wife Corinne Hunter (Dennis) of Rising Sun, IN; his children, Tami Hunter of East Enterprise, IN, Jeff Hunter (Shasta) of Vevay, IN and Jason Hunter of Rising Sun, IN; his grandchildren, Tasha Powers (Danny), Nathan Hunter and Baylie Hunter (Adam Bailey); his stepgrandchildren, Zach, Allena and Ethan Weaver; and his great grandchildren, Aubree and Hunter.
The military honors will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at the Rising Sun New Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Markland Funeral Home (327 N High St, Rising Sun, IN 47040). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
