It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freddie Howlett (Rising Sun, Indiana), born in Milan, Indiana, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Howlett (Sherriff) and Fred Norman Howlett; his wife Doris Howlett; his siblings, Estel Howlett, Larry "Pete" Howlett and Lorna Howlett; and his sister-in-law Marlene Howlett.

He is survived by: his close friend Ida Belle Pennington of Rising Sun, IN; his children, Benjamin Howlett (Angel) of East Enterprise, IN and Aimee Howlett Ballard of Rising Sun, IN; his sister Ruth Matthews of Harrison, IN; his sister-in-law Thelma Howlett of Sunman, IN; his son-in-law Donnie Ballard of Switzerland County, IN; and his grandchildren, Justin, Noah, Zachary, Allee and Cloe.

Due to the current situation dealing with COVID-19, we are following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings.

Contributions may be made to the Switzerland County EMS.
