He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Abplanalp (Turner) of Rising Sun, IN; his children, Misty White (Nate) of Rising Sun, IN, Brittany Rodgers (Andrew) of Harrison, OH, Charles Turner of Rising Sun, IN and Mark E. Abplanalp, Jr. of Rising Sun, IN; his grandchildren, Devin White, Christian Miller, Aubree Miller, Mackenzie Turner, Jaiden White, Noah Rodgers and Everleigh Rodgers; his great grandchild Westyn Miller; his siblings, Charlotte Dews (Bobby), Carrie Dowd (Bobby), Marlin Abplanalp (Margie) and Jeff Powers; and his siblings-in-law, Leroy Turner (Donna), Steve Turner and Joyce Blackson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Markland Funeral Home (327 N High St, Rising Sun, IN 47040). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
