He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Sheets Goodwin (Clem) and Charles Sheets; his daughter Gail; his stepfather Leslie Goodwin; and his siblings, Michael and Angela.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sheets (Becker) of Rising Sun, IN; his children, Angela Grace (Donald) of Rising Sun, IN, Christina Hamilton (Kenneth) of Odessa, TX, Jennifer Anglin (Jason) of Rising Sun, IN and Paul Douglas Sheets, Jr. (Sarah) of Rising Sun, IN; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan, Jacob Grace, Andrew, Kiera Anglin, Silas, Noah, Eli and Uriah Sheets; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Sebastian, Hudson and Maddilyn; and his siblings, Patty Evans of Rising Sun, IN, Anne Kailholz of Bright, IN, Chris Sheets and Tony Sheets of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (203 4th St, Aurora, IN 47001). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rising Sun New Cemetery.
