He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorman Ballard and Martha Ballard (O'Conner); his wife Betty Ballard; his son Dana Ballard; and his siblings, Pat, Earl, Ronnie, Paul, Gary Ballard, JoAnn Hall, Betty Brady and Shirley Lambert.
He is survived by: his children, David Ballard (Regina) of Patriot, Kevin Ballard (Kerrie) of Greendale, Steve Ballard of Rising Sun, Indiana, Debbie Chrisman (Marvin) of Lawrenceburg and Kathy Scott of Greendale, Indiana; and his sister Franny Mondary of Rising Sun, Indiana. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
