It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Hartman Hughes (Rising Sun, Indiana), born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore "Ted" Hughes and MaryJo Hughes (Meadows); his wife Donna Scudder Hughes (Flood); his siblings, Gertrude Voris and Ralph Hughes; and his stepson Brian Scudder.

He is survived by: his son Toby Hughes (Jacqueline); his stepchildren, Karen Evans and Bobbie Jo Turner (David); his grandchildren, Brianna Hughes and Caleb Hughes; his stepgrandchildren, Briar Miller and Zachary Courter; his great grandchild Brantley Wayne Roberson; his stepgreat-grandchild Everleigh Miller; and his siblings, Margaret Stegemiller, Mildred Fleek (Danny) and Nathan Hughes (Donna).
