He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard "Buck" Riggle and Mary Riggle (Ford); his brothers, Tom Gatlin and Dan Westbrook; and his grandparents, Charles V. Riggle and Edith DeWeese (Stevens).

He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Riggle; his sons, Charles "Charley" Riggle Jr. (Laura) and Aaron Riggle (Nikki); his grandchildren, Callee, Camryn, Kambelle and Carson; and his siblings, David Gatlin, Kathy Westbrook-Collings (Gary) and Ron Riggle (Donna). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
