She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Whitaker Sr. and Hazel L. Whitaker (Miller). She is survived by: her son Michael A. Edwards Jr. (Amber); her sister Kathy M. Kelly; and her grandchildren, Brenden A. Reed and Makaylie N. Edwards. She is also survived by one niece and nephew and two great nieces and one great nephew.
