He is survived by: his wife Sharon Messer; his children, Vicky Pope (Michael), Mark Bachman (Cassie) and Jack Bachman (Robyn); his sister Marilyn Davidson (Richard); and his grandchildren, Melissa Wardrip (Jonathan), Kristina Grady (Michael), Markus Bachman (Jessica), Kimberly Cowlishaw (Andy), Sandra Barker (Jeremy), Carie Templin (Ben), Christina Siebenhaar (Titus), Ryan Bachman (Abigail), Timothy, Amanda, Benjamin (Jaclyn), Philip, Thomas, Daniel, Jordan (Zaira), Theresa, Stephan, Jonathan, Samuel, Joseph and Sophia Bachman. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given through the Roanoke Baptist Church and designated to family expenses or Roanoke Baptist School.
