He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hyser and Mildred Hyser (Parker). He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Hyser; his children, Christine Pratt, Michelle Gruettert (Michael), Lori Hyser, Debbie Gaff and Richard Hyser, Jr. (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Amber Pressler, Tadd Pratt (Jessica), Clinton Gruettert, Katie Reed (Frank), Jeffrey Gruettert (Taylor), Alivia Michel (Lane), Audrey Jacquay (Andy), Karrisy Hyser and Tayla Sanchez (Michael). He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given in memory of Richard to Masses at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Arcola or Stillwater Hospice.
