She was predeceased by: her father Leonard Prater; her husband Earl Gene Ward, Jr.; and her mother Francis Mae Shepherd (Hensley Prater). She is survived by: her brothers, Len Prater (Kathy Guerin) of North Manchester, Indiana, Robert Prater (Patricia Miller) of Liberty Mills, Indiana and Samuel Prater (Sarah) of Warsaw, Indiana; and her half-sister Jessica Harner of Kokomo, Indiana.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
