She was predeceased by: her parents, Pierce Vires and Nannie Vires (Wright); her spouse Bishop Richard A. Ritter Sr.; her siblings, James Arthur Vires, Ewen Vires, Charles Vires and Rhoda Hensley; her granddaughter Anna (Ryleigh Ritter); and her son-in-law Donald Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Damita Jo Taylor, Richard A. Ritter Jr. (Mary), James Ritter, Stephen Paul Ritter (Kim) and Marcus A. Ritter (Amy Dingess); and her siblings, Betty Houin (Deloris Doody), Haroldean Vires, Pierce Vires Jr., Bernard Vires and Larry Vires (Rhonda). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren.
