We are sad to announce that, on May 17, 2022, at the age of 81, Delmar Prater of Rochester, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Prater and Lucy Mae Prater (Manuel); his brothers, Amon and William; his grandmother Jean; and his granddaughter Mirissa DiVaccaro.

He is survived by: his wife Elva Prater of Rochester; his sons, James Prater (Brenda) of Warsaw, Bobby Prater (Kathryn) of Grand Ledge, MI and Kevin Prater (Sarah) of Akron; his grandchildren, Joshua Prater (Brittany), Matraca Thrasher (Andrew), Zachary Prater (Kelsey Linder), Alexandria Prater, Addison Prater, Dakota Prater and Zach Webb; his great grandchildren, Warren Thrasher and Cecilia DiVaccaro; and his brothers, Hebert, Mander, Wilbur and John Prater.
